view Hill Intermediate School opened during the 2002-2003 school year as Northwest Intermediate.

In the Spring of 2007, Northwest was renamed to honor Emmett and Sarah Hill, for their many years of service to the Aldine community.

Emmett Hill is a lifelong resident and servant of the Aldine ISD community and graduate of Carver High School. He has devoted 31 years of service to the students and employees of the Acres Homes area and to Aldine ISD as a teacher, coach and assistant principal. After retiring from the district, he served on the Board of Education when he was appointed to the Position 2 seat in 1991. He served on the board for 14 years until he resigned from the board in October of 2005 due to health concerns. During his tenure on the board, Mr. Hill held every board office and served on numerous committees. Sarah Hill has also served the students of Aldine ISD devoting 32 years of service to the district. She retired as Education Service Manager at Eisenhower Senior High School. The Hill’s four children all graduated from Aldine schools.

Hill Intermediate transitioned into Hill Elementary School during the 2018-2019 Aldine ISD Reconfiguration.
